Rivas helps your business be safer: new grants to improve the security of shops and restaurants
2026/06/25
The Rivas Vaciamadrid City Council has launched a grant program to support the purchase of equipment and facilities to improve the security of businesses in the municipality's retail and hospitality establishments. The aim is to encourage investment in these measures and mitigate their economic impact on local businesses, thereby strengthening the protection of the city's commercial sector.
Individuals or legal entities who own or lease a commercial or hospitality business located in Rivas are eligible, provided the premises are operational, accessible from the street, and their activity falls within the CNAE codes listed in the terms and conditions. The subsidy covers up to 90% of the net acquisition price, excluding investment expenses and VAT, and only one application per applicant and establishment is allowed.
Eligible projects range from video surveillance systems, alarms, and access control to physical security measures such as metal shutters, safety glass, reinforced doors, and anti-ram bollards, as well as specific anti-theft systems. The application period remains open until October 31, 2026, and applications can be submitted electronically at the Town Hall or, by appointment, at the Citizen Service Offices.
