RIVAS CELEBRATES LGBTI PRIDE 2025 WITH A LOCAL, DIVERSE AND DEMANDING CAMPAIGN
2025/06/04

The Rivas Vaciamadrid City Council has presented the 2025 LGBT Pride program under the slogan "Pride and Neighborhood," a local-focused campaign that seeks to highlight sexual, gender, and emotional diversity within the community. This year, the campaign's image features four Rivas residents: Eneko Jiménez, Aroa Elvira Delgado, Oti Camacho, and Héctor Sanz, who represent different aspects of the Rivas LGBT community.

These four people will also be in charge of giving the opening speech on June 13th during the grand Pride celebration in Constitution Square, as part of a program that combines advocacy, art, culture, and community participation.

The initiative was organized by the Department of Feminism and Diversity, whose head, Mimi Chamorro, emphasized that "Rivas Pride is a political event, not just a celebration. We invite all citizens to join in, enjoy it, and claim the rights of LGBTI+ people with pride and commitment." Mayor Aída Castillejo, for her part, emphasized the importance of a campaign that focuses on the local community: "We want to show that diversity also lives in our neighborhoods, and that in the face of hatred, Rivas responds with community, visibility, and dignity."
