RIVAS CELEBRATES ITS HOUSE OF ASSOCIATIONS FESTIVAL: MEETINGS, CULTURE, AND NEIGHBORHOOD PARTICIPATION
2025/06/04

On Saturday, June 7, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight, the Associations House in the West neighborhood will host a new edition of the event that highlights the work of the local association network. Twenty-three organizations are participating.

Rivas Vaciamadrid is preparing for an evening of community, culture, and civic engagement. On Saturday, June 7, a new edition of the Associations' House Festival will be held, a festive gathering that brings together 23 municipal organizations to showcase the work they do throughout the year to improve the local quality of life.

Organized by the Department of Citizen Participation and Neighborhoods together with the coordinator of the House of Associations, this event has become a staple in the Ripense calendar, bringing together residents around social activism, popular culture, and a collaborative spirit.

Sports, workshops, dance and music for all audiences

Among this year's major new features is the participation of the Pick&Dink Rivas club, which will introduce the public to pickleball, an emerging sport that combines padel, tennis, and squash and is gaining popularity for its inclusive and family-friendly nature.

The stage will also be the center of attention with dance performances by groups such as Triana en Rivas, Rivas Baila, ABSR, and Asamambaya, who will impress with flamenco, urban dance, and Bollywood performances. In addition, the Akelarre Sound choir will provide the evening's lively soundtrack.

Younger audiences can enjoy mini children's games, and those looking for original activities can enjoy a badge-making workshop with the Confluye Association, laughter therapy with Donantes de Risas, and open choreography by Run Faster Rivas.

Associative space and closing with musical bingo

The event is rounded out with an exhibition space where each group can showcase their daily work, and a bar area with affordable prices, managed this year by the associations Confluye, Gato de Cinco Patas, and AMAL, which will ensure that food and drinks are available.

As a finale, the party will close with a musical bingo, where you can not only sing and dance to well-known songs from all eras, but also win prizes donated by participating associations.

A tribute to the driving force of Rivas's neighborhoods

The Associations House Festival is more than just a recreational event; it's a recognition of Rivas's strong associations, a key element in building a cohesive, supportive, and active city.

"A Saturday to meet, enjoy, and celebrate the fact that the Rivas of old is still very much alive thanks to its strong associations," summarizes the Department of Citizen Participation.
