RIVAS LIGHTS UP ITS CHRISTMAS ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 29TH WITH MUSIC, WORKSHOPS AND LIGHTS THROUGHOUT THE CITY

The Christmas lights will be switched on at 6:00 p.m. in the Plaza de la Constitución , following an afternoon of family activities from 4:00 p.m.

Christmas arrives in Rivas on Saturday, November 29th with one of the most anticipated events of the year: the switching on of the Christmas lights. From 4:00 PM, the Plaza de la Constitución will become the epicenter of a festive day that will bring together hundreds of families to enjoy children's workshops, entertainment, a circus act, hot chocolate, a small fireworks display, and a musical performance by the Rivas Choir along with the violin ensemble from the Municipal School of Music.

The most anticipated moment will arrive at 6:00 p.m. , when the button is pressed that will illuminate the square, the municipal buildings, and the decorative elements adorning the public space. At the same time, the lights throughout the rest of the city and participating shopping centers will be switched on.

A Christmas program for the whole family

The lighting ceremony will mark the start of a wide-ranging program of Christmas activities . Highlights include the Rivas Jones treasure hunt (Saturday, December 13), in which parent-teacher associations from public schools will receive a gift certificate just for participating; the traveling market , which will visit the La Luna and Centro neighborhoods on Sundays, December 14 and 21 ; and the local shop window display competition .

In addition, the City Council will raffle off €7,000 in prizes in the form of €100 vouchers to spend at local businesses, and will set up gaming areas in shopping centers with 25 daily raffles . In total, €20,000 in prizes, checks, and vouchers will be distributed as part of Rivas' Christmas Campaign .

With festive spirit and citizen participation as the main focus, Rivas shines once again this year to welcome Christmas.
