Rivas presents the 2026 Business and Entrepreneurship Awards

68 nominations have competed in the second edition of these awards, which recognize six categories and have distributed 32,000 euros in prizes.
A hundred people gathered this Wednesday, September 9, in the Pedro Zerolo room of the Administrative Services building in Rivas to attend the presentation of the 2026 Business and Entrepreneurship Awards , an initiative promoted by the Rivas City Council within the framework of the municipal program Rivas Emprende.
The second edition of these awards received 68 applications , 16 more than in the first edition held last year, and recognized six different categories: three for entrepreneurial projects and three for established companies. The total prize money awarded was €32,000.
The awards ceremony followed the elevator pitch format. Each finalist company and project had exactly two minutes to present their initiative , explain its main features, and defend their proposal before the jury.
After the presentations, the participants had to answer the questions posed by the jury, made up of representatives of the social agents that are part of the Local Pact for Employment of Rivas , including business associations and unions, as well as staff from the Department of Economic Development and Employment and the Technical Secretariat of the City Strategy.
Entrepreneurship Awards
In the Young Entrepreneurship category, the prize, worth 4,000 euros, went to Pablo Hiruelas , from ICEINMOTION , while Víctor Marcos, from HoyQueComemos, was a finalist.
The Senior Entrepreneurship award, also worth 4,000 euros, went to David Delgado of Educantamos . Alberto Arrillaga of Ikara Project Lab, SL, and Antonio Rubén Barrio of Amiga IA were the other two finalist projects.
Cristian Aladino , from Educ.AI , won the Best Entrepreneurship award, also worth €4,000. Elva Karina, from Sweet Karina, and Beatriz Díaz, from The Yard Hybrid Training, were the other finalists in this category.
Awards for companies
In the business categories, Atenea Óptica Rivas, SL won the Commerce and Hospitality award, worth 6,000 euros. Giosam Food Art, SL and Tercer Tiempo Rivas, CB were the finalists.
The Microenterprise award, also with a prize of 6,000 euros, went to Smart Toilets Ibérica , SL. Wavemotion, SLL and Agrícola Riconatura, SL were the other two finalist companies.
Finally, the SME category recognized Tratamiento Superficial Robotizado, SL , which received an €8,000 prize. At Home English, SL and La Casa de las Brasas, SL completed the group of finalists.
The awards were presented by the mayor of Rivas, Aída Castillejo , who during her speech highlighted the business reality of the municipality and the potential of the entrepreneurial projects that have participated in this second edition of the awards.
With this call for proposals, the Rivas City Council continues to promote, through Rivas Emprende , the recognition and support of business and entrepreneurial initiatives developed in the municipality.
