2026/06/25
The Rivas Vaciamadrid City Council has launched the second edition of its Business and Entrepreneurship Awards, an initiative within the Rivas Emprende municipal program that recognizes the effort, innovation, and contribution of businesses and entrepreneurs to the city's economic and social development. This year, the total prize money amounts to €32,000, distributed across six categories.
Compared to the first edition, the prizes have increased in value and incorporated new categories that reflect the diverse realities of the local business and entrepreneurial landscape, as well as new evaluation criteria aimed at promoting equality and recognizing both senior and young talent. The six categories are: SME Award (€8,000), Retail and/or Hospitality Establishment Award (€6,000), Microenterprise and Self-Employed Individual Award (€6,000), Entrepreneurial Project Award (€4,000), Senior Entrepreneurship Award, for those over 50 years of age (€4,000), and Young Entrepreneurship Project Award, for those under 30 years of age (€4,000).
In addition to the financial award, the winning proposals receive media coverage, an official certificate, and the right to free office space for one year at the Rivas Business Initiatives Center (CIE). Businesses, self-employed individuals, and entrepreneurial projects in the municipality can consult the complete guidelines and submit their applications through the City Hall's website.
