Rivas is filled with cinema: the Rivas Film Festival celebrates its 25th edition

The Rivas Film Festival has announced the 23 finalist short films that will compete in the National Competition of its 25th edition, selected from more than 800 submitted works.

The screenings will take place at the Yelmo Rivas H2O cinemas , where audiences can enjoy a program of 14 short fiction films, five documentaries, and four animated shorts. Among the selected works are titles such as Chicken Jazz, The Aspirant, Videoclub 2001, Oralia, and Pinchu is Like That, among others.

One of the highlights of this edition is that half of the short films are directed by women, achieving parity in the competition.

The festival will award 24,000 euros in prizes and will announce the winners at the closing gala on March 21 at the Pilar Bardem auditorium.
