With the start of the Rivas Film Festival , many of the screenings (including the short film programs of the National Competition) will take place at Yelmo Rivas H2O Cinemas between March 13th and 20th . To complete your plan, here's a list of local restaurants for dinner before enjoying the programs we have prepared for this year's Rivas Film Festival.


1) Easy and hassle-free dinner

If you're looking for a place to have dinner "on the safe side" and arrive with time for your session:

  • Mesón Santa Mónica (Santa Mónica Shopping Center): family restaurant with menu, portions and hamburgers.
  • La Morita Restaurant: quality Spanish cuisine with long opening hours for a relaxed dinner.

2) Tapas and "pre-drinks" plan with wine

To go in a group, share dishes and extend the conversation a bit before the cinema:

  • Kokoa More Than Tapas: Spanish cuisine with original creations.
  • Bebola: varied menu with nods to other cuisines and a selection of wines.

3) A different dinner to change things up

If you fancy something different from the usual and want to make your plan something more special:

  • Naoki Japanese Street Food: Japanese cuisine in Rivas, driven by its founding chef.
  • Arslan Döner Kebab (Santa Mónica Shopping Center): Turkish cuisine with an extensive menu.

If you're going to the 7 pm showing, have a lighter dinner or eat earlier, and if you're going to the 9 pm showing, these places are perfect for a leisurely dinner and to arrive on time. (And, if possible, it's best to make a reservation).
