"RIVAS JONES GYMKHANA 2025" HAS RETURNED TO RIVAS

Rivas Vaciamadrid will host the Rivas Jones 2025 Treasure Hunt on December 13th , a game of tests, clues, and challenges that will take participants through the West, Central, and East neighborhoods in collaboration with local businesses. The activity, aimed at children accompanied by an adult and young people up to 26 years old, will take place between 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM .
Registration open until December 9th
Participation is free, but prior registration is required through the municipal website . Registration will remain open until December 9th or until all 180 available places are filled, which will be assigned strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
Each group will be able to choose the neighborhood in which they wish to carry out the scavenger hunt.
How the adventure works
At the start of the activity, each team will receive an adventurer's kit, which includes a route book with the map of the route and the businesses involved.
At each assigned establishment, participants must follow a sequence of codes and questions:

Ask the merchant the code question that identifies them as adventurers.

Answer the store's question correctly, which is also displayed on a sign in the store.
If they pass the challenge, they will receive a small gift that will serve as physical proof of their visit. In addition, there will be special stations throughout the city with entertainers offering extra challenges.
The final route will be communicated upon submission of the documentation. All groups must be in the Plaza de la Constitución between 1:00 and 1:30 p.m. to validate their participation.
Prizes for participants and educational centers
The initiative offers two types of prizes:
1. Gift certificate for those who complete the treasure hunt
All groups that complete the tour on time and in the correct manner will receive a gift voucher worth 50 euros, redeemable in the shops participating in the Christmas campaign “Live Rivas, live Christmas, shopping locally”.
It will only be delivered to the registered owner, after verification of their ID.
The checks can be used until February 28, 2026.
2. Award for educational centers
The five Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) of publicly funded schools that achieve the highest number of accredited participants will receive two checks of 50 euros each, also redeemable until February 28, 2026.
Commitment to respecting local businesses
The City Council reminds participants that they must carry out the activity with the utmost respect for the establishments, taking care of both the facilities and the staff and avoiding inconvenience to workers and customers.
Participation of businesses: conditions and deadlines
Retail businesses in the municipality (excluding hospitality businesses) can join the initiative completely free of charge.
Requirements for establishments

Having a physical establishment open to the public in Rivas Vaciamadrid.

Place the participation card provided by the City Council in a visible location.

Register between November 24 and December 4 through the municipal website or through an in-person visit from City Hall staff.
Businesses will be able to redeem the vouchers until February 28, 2025, following the instructions associated with the QR code provided for refund management.
