The initiative, part of the municipal campaign "I eat in Rivas", mobilized 37 restaurants and generated more than 40,000 euros in the hospitality sector.

Rivas Vaciamadrid celebrated the awards ceremony for the first Rivas Gastronomic Week on November 10th . This event, which took place throughout October, brought together 37 local establishments to showcase the best of Rivas cuisine. Organized by the Department of Economic Development and Employment as part of the "I Eat in Rivas" campaign, the initiative aimed to highlight the quality and diversity of the municipality's restaurants.

The participating restaurants competed in two categories— Special Menu and Signature Dish —with offerings available for tasting throughout the week. Diners, in addition to enjoying the dishes, actively participated in the competition: by scanning a QR code , they cast 987 votes , evaluating originality, presentation, flavor, and value for money.

The award winners

At an event held at Mokai Beach Club , the public chose the winners of this first edition:

  • Vinopremier , in the Special Menu category.

  • Pipatune Caserío , in the Star Dish category.

Both establishments received a trophy , a chef's jacket, and tickets to the Salón Gourmets 2026 , which will take place in Madrid next April. In addition, all participating restaurants were recognized with a diploma , a bottle vacuum pump , and a promotional apron from the city's campaign.

Economic impact and local projection

During Gastronomic Week, 1,650 dishes were served, with an average price of 25 euros , which translates into an estimated revenue of 41,250 euros for the local hospitality sector.

The initiative is part of a broader municipal strategy to promote local consumption through actions such as the Tapas Route and weekday hospitality promotions . The City Council is currently working with the hospitality association on a new free training program for professionals in the sector.

With the positive reception of this first edition, Rivas consolidates its commitment to quality gastronomy and to strengthening the local business fabric.
